Energy Efficiency

Energy efficiency and the environment are important to us, which is why we endeavour to look at alternative ways of heating and recovering heat which may be otherwise lost. This helps to save money and reduce the carbon footprint.

Destratification Fans

When heated air is released into an enclosed space it has a natural tendency to stratify, creating a temperature gradient from floor to ceiling. In many cases the floor temperature might be 12°C, whereas the roof temperature can reach 26°C, or higher. Generally, the hotter the roof fabric; the greater the heat loss from the building. Energy loss through the fabric of the building in this way can substantially increase operating costs of the heating system.

A simple destratification fan can be used to circulate this warm air back to ground level making fuel savings of up to 20% and reducing your carbon footprint. Destratification fans are a very simple, cost effective way of reusing heat which is usually lost and wasted.
